Nike is about to release a brand new Nike Dunk Low “Reverse Brazil” variant next year. The label has reintroduced different styles over the years. For the upcoming variant, Nike is reversing the color scheme of its previous version.
This colorway is also similar to the “Team Tones” collection from the 2000s, due to its close resemblance to the Oregon Ducks color scheme.
Nike’s next “Reverse Brazil” variant dip down is planned for next year. Early reports suggest these low-top sneakers will be available starting January 2, 2023. These two-tone sneakers will be priced at $110 for each pair. The shoes will be available on Nike’s online store and through affiliate retailers.
Nike Dunk Low will be dressed in the “Reverse Brazil” colorway with green and yellow overlays
Nike Dunk, which first appeared in 1985, has evolved from the hardwood floors of college basketball courts to public streets around the world. The silhouette has evolved beyond its NCAA-inspired colors to reflect current fashion trends, including earthy tones and bright hues.
Over the past few weeks, Nike has released several new Dunk Low iterations, such as “Mars Stone,” “Halloween,” “Fur & Bling“, among other colorways. Now, the Swoosh label will offer a “Reverse Brazil” variant.
The origin and history of Nike Dunk is mentioned on the Swoosh website as,
“From backboards to skateboards, the influence of the Nike Dunk is undeniable. Although introduced as a basketball shoe in 1985, its flat, grippy soles were perfect for an overlooked athletic community: skaters. Discovering a subculture hungry for creativity as much as functionality, Dunk has released decades of countless colorways that continue to capture the souls of skaters from coast to coast.
The new “Reverse Brazil” variant features an all-leather makeup. The upper of this Nike Dunk Low variant is wrapped in a two-tone color scheme of striking yellow and apple green that not only mimics the Brazilian flag but also resembles the Oregon Ducks jersey.
First, the perforated toes are made from green leather panels. Lemon yellow leather accents surround the mudguards, eyelets and heel counters. Here, the apple green tones also appear on the quarter panel as well as the collar area in the base layer.
The mesh tongue flap is covered in an identical hue, which is complemented by sets of tonal yellow lace. It ends just below the Nike tongue, which incorporates the two colors used on the upper. A yellow strike leather Swoosh can be seen along the quarter panel, returning towards the yellow heel tab with green “Nike” stitching.
The white Dunk midsole seamlessly bonded to an apple green rubber outsole completes the design. Finally, a matching green insole, along with similar insoles, completes the upper. These soles are complete with yellow Nike branding accents.
The new Nike Dunk Low “Reverse Brazil” colorway is set to launch on January 2, 2023. The shoes will be available in men’s sizes for $100 through Nike’s online stores, as well as select retailers.
