2021 has been a monumental year for the Air Jordan 4, with not only a slew of new releases, but also some old favorites staging a triumphant return. Also exciting for AJ4 fans in 2022, a few notable sneaker insiders namely @zsneakerheadz and @prvt.selection recently posted a closer look at the upcoming Crayon Purple Air Jordan 4 along with their release information.

The design of this next rendition of Canyon Purple has been compared to the best colorways and styles from Travis Scott’s Family & Friends catalog. Resembling the rapper’s ultra-exclusive shoes, this colorway caught the eye of sneakerheads and Jordan fans alike.

The Canyon Purple sports a hairy suede upper rather than nubuck as seen in Scott’s edit, and the color is indeed applied more dramatically. The purple is well executed throughout the suede upper of the shoes. From the upper straps to the laces, interior linings to the tongue tags, all are crafted from sturdy purple suedes.

Hints of “Alligator” are used to accentuate the eyelets holding the laces, midsoles, and the forefoot of the outsoles. These green accents are then paired with black hues throughout the fender reinforcements and insole. Meanwhile, the “Safety Orange” hue is used to highlight the Jumpman badge placed on the back of the tongue tags.

Ultimately, the characteristic Air units that are incorporated into the soles complete the whole thing with the desired comfort and grip.
