Steph Curry wears ‘Oakland’ shoes in Warriors’ first playoff game at Chase Center

Before the Warriors’ first NBA playoff game at Chase Center, Steph Curry paid tribute to the team’s former home.

During pregame warmups before Game 1 of the Warriors’ first-round series against the Denver Nuggets, Curry rocked his Curry 6 “OAKLAND”.

The Warriors capped their 47-year tenure at Oracle Arena in Oakland with seven straight playoff appearances and five straight NBA Finals appearances. But they missed the playoffs in the first two seasons at Chase Center.

That changed this season as the Warriors finished the regular season with a 53-29 record, claiming the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.

Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala have a loving relationship with the building where they won three NBA championships.

Curry is expected to return to the lineup Saturday night against the Nuggets after missing last month with a sprained left foot, although he won’t start. Jordan Poole will start alongside Thompson in the backcourt.
