In recent weeks, a handful of local boutiques and national chain stores have opened or announced plans to open in the Charlotte area.

Outside Voicesa popular athleisure brand offering clothing for women, men and unisex, open a few weeks ago in the South End. It’s on the bottom floor of the Lowe’s building, next to Allbirds (the famous shoe chain that open earlier this year). This is the first North Carolina store for Austin-based Outdoor Voices.
Hit Shop recently opened at NoDa. Started by Kirstin and Gregor Martin 15 years ago in Chicago, Smitten offers personalized invitations and paper goods, as well as baby, paper, home and lifestyle items, according to a recent statement from the family business. This is the brand’s second store outside of Chicago, and it’s located at 2824 N. Davidson.
Warby Parkerthe popular eyewear retailer, opened its fifth North Carolina store at Birkdale Village in Huntersville.
girl tribethe local brand owned by women, recently opened at SouthPark, at the location formerly occupied by the AIR Aerial Fitness space, near Barnes & Noble. In addition to clothing and gifts, the shop has a photo booth. The SouthPark store joins their flagship store in South End and Girl Supply Co. in Birkdale Village.
Coco Leto will open in January in the Colony Shops, near Woo Skincare and Blo Blow Dry Bar. The local boutique will offer children’s clothing, shoes, accessories and gifts, all ranging in size from newborn to mid-teens. The boutique will also offer services such as personal styling services, gift wrapping and baby registries.
Good will will open a store in Ballantyne (8622 Camfield Street) on November 18. The new 10,000 square foot store will be a place where residents can buy repurposed clothing or donate gently used items, according to a statement from Goodwill Industries of Southern Piedmont.
Tag Heuer is now open in the SouthPark Mall. The Swiss retailer sells high-end watches and other fashion accessories. It is located near the Cour de la Fontaine.
