Reebok and Hasbro are back.
The historic athletic brand and toy company are joining forces for the second time to bring out the kid in you with the release of a collection of four sneakers designed for “hoop dreams everywhere,” Reebok said in A press release. The Nerf x Reebok retro basketball shoe collection will feature three silhouettes that will be available in four different colorways, paying homage to the popular toy, Jump Shot. The sneaker pack features iterations of Reebok’s Pump Omni Zone 2, Kamikaze 2 and Kamikaze 2 Low.
Dubbed the Nerf x Pump Omni Zone 2 “Light Jammer”, the silhouette features a funky glow-in-the-dark orange and slime green vamp and outsole and “Light Jammer” with a retro Nerf Sports Nerfoop design. enlightened. For added effect, the sneaker features a graphic splatter print on the vamp and collar, inspired by the Nerf archives. The pump, which will retail for $160, also includes custom insoles.
Next up is the Nerf x Pump Omni Zone 2 “Big Bad Backboard”, which will also bring nostalgia as it’s inspired by the Nerf Sports Nerfoop. Like the “Light Jammer,” the silhouette will feature a black and plum graphic print across the vamp and colorway. The shoe will cost $160.
As for the Kamikaze 2 “Backboard Breaker” – perhaps the most vibrant of the collection – shoppers will find an embroidered Nerf logo on the front with a splash graphic on the eyes and heel. The theme continues with a “Nerf or Nothing” on the lace tips. The custom graphic sock liner artwork and packaging is inspired by both retired pro basketball star Shawn Kemp and the Nerf Sports Nerfoop Big Bad backboard.
Last, but not least, is the Kamikaze 2 Low “Backboard Breaker”. Like the others, this sneaker also features a splatter graphic print with Nerf branding. The Kamikaze 2 will cost $130 and the kids size will cost $100. The Kamikaze 2 Low will be priced at $110 and will only be available in adult sizes.
The Nerf x Reebok capsule will be available on June 24 via Reebok.com for Reebok Unlocked and Hasbropulse.com members, with a wider release on June 25.
