Police search for suspects in twin liquor store robbery

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Police are looking for two suspects Tuesday after a liquor store in Normal Heights was robbed.

Around 10 p.m. Monday, officers responded to reports that two suspects entered a store with a gun and demanded money from a cash register at Twins Liquor, 3602 Meade Ave., between 36th Street and Cherokee Avenue, according to the San Diego Police Department.

Police said the store clerk complied, giving the cash register money and a cellphone to the suspects. The clerk was not injured in the incident.

The two suspects then fled to 36th Street. One suspect is described as a man in his 20s, about 5ft 7in tall, wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants and black and white Nike shoes.

The other is 25 years old and has short hair. The second suspect was seen in a black hoodie and gray and black sweatpants.

No further information has been released. The SDPD was investigating the theft.
