Mel B has revealed she asked her former Spice Girls bandmate Victoria Beckham to design her outfit for when she takes her MBE – but it’s unlikely to include her leopard print.
Mel, who received the honor earlier this year for her services to charitable causes and vulnerable women due to her work with domestic violence charity Women’s Aid, explained how she feels about of distinction.
Speaking during an appearance on the ITV breakfast show Lorraine, the 46-year-old singer and TV star, aka Scary Spice, said she was honored but nervous and that Victoria, 47, might just dress her up for the occasion.

As the mother-of-three asked Lorraine about her experience of the ceremony after receiving a CBE from Princess Anne, the Scottish TV presenter assured her that it would be fine.
Lorraine then suggested with a smile that Mel should ask her ex-boyfriend-turned-fashion-designer to design something special for her to wear for the occasion – but it looks like Mel is one step ahead.
The former Masked Singer contestant replied, “I actually asked her. I take my mother and so I said, ‘Can you dress me and my mother?’ »
And it looks like Mel is still on the case as she plans to follow through on his request when she sees Victoria, aka Posh Spice, as she’s invited to her son Brooklyn’s upcoming wedding.
Mel continued, “I’m going to see her at her son’s wedding anyway. Yeah Victoria, that would be great!”
As the couple continued to discuss what the outfit might look like, Lorraine suggested, “Maybe not something from the Spice Girls era…
“But you have to have a bit of leopard print in there, maybe a little pair of leopard print shoes or something?
“Because you know, you have to have a nod in the direction.”
Later in the chat, Lorraine also said she would love to see the popular pop group again, suggesting the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee would be the perfect time to reunite.

However, Mel dashed the five women’s hopes of performing together anytime soon.
She replied “We would like to do that, but unfortunately I don’t think we will be part of it, which is not my decision, but I will be there to cheer anyway.”
