Abbie Fox is Abbie Fox, the 2022 Grand Marshal of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Grand Parade at the Main Street Port Clinton Walleye Festival on Saturday, May 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Waterworks Park in Port Clinton. Each year, Main Street Port Clinton recognizes a person or organization at the Walleye Festival who has had a positive impact on the Port Clinton community.
Fox was named Citizen of the Year by the Port Clinton Chamber of Commerce at its annual dinner and awards ceremony in April.
“Abbie Fox was born and raised on Lake Erie in Sandusky, and has been proud to call Port Clinton home for over seven years,” said Nicole Kochensparger, President and CEO of the Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce. . “Abbie is a small business owner, director of the chamber’s board of directors, chair of the Port Clinton Chamber of Ambassadors Committee, and director of the Port Clinton Sunday Farmers’ Market.”
Registration and check-in for the David W Leonard #2295 Fraternal Order of Eagles Grand Parade will take place at the main entrance of Port Clinton High School. The parade route will begin at the corner of 4th and Madison streets. The parade will head north on Madison to 2nd Street; East on Jefferson; South on Jefferson and ending at Port Clinton High School.
Judging of parade participants will take place in front of the Ida Rupp Public Library on Madison Street.
Founded in 2017, Fox’s Lakelynn Design boutique opened in downtown Port Clinton, offering quality apparel, jewelry and handcrafted products. Fox supported other small American businesses, shoes, gifts and, of course, her signature “Lake Love.”
In 2020, Fox was able to expand and open its second store in its hometown of Sandusky. Following his business plan to give back to his community, his involvement in helping to resurrect downtown Port Clinton and surrounding areas has grown.
Giving back to the community that had shown love and support for his business was an absolute must. In addition to donating to many charitable causes, accepting sponsorships and being involved in programs such as Young Entrepreneurs at Port Clinton Middle School, she enjoys developing exciting new events like Port Clinton Sunday.
