SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell officially debuted the fourth edition of his signature Adidas basketball shoes during Utah’s playoff opener against the Dallas Mavericks.
Mitchell hit the new DON Issue #4 kicks in Utah’s Game 1 win over Dallas on April 16.
The colorway Mitchell sported was white with red-orange tipped laces, a red-orange Adidas logo and his family name in gold.
The shoes were first leaked online four days before Game 1 between the Jazz and Mavericks.
Photos of Mitchell wearing the shoes at practice were tweeted by the @utahjazz Twitter account. The tweet has since been deleted.
The shoes shown in the photos were red with black.
Adidas has confirmed that Mitchell’s new shoes will be available in fall 2022.
Jazz Nation News tweeted that Mitchell’s Issue #4 shoes will be available in September.
The first edition of Mitchell’s Kicks was released on July 1, 2019.
The Issue #1 shoes came in a red/blue Spider-Man colorway that honored the Jazzman’s nickname “Spida” and the comic book superhero “Spider-Man”.
Several colorways and editions have been unveiled since the original red/blue shoes. Some of the designs were worn exclusively by Mitchell, others were made available to the general public.
The Jazz guard has now revealed new shoes in several NBA playoffs.
Mitchell and the Jazz will be looking to take a 2-0 series lead against the Mavericks in Game 3.
