Hyundai Transys will showcase a sustainably innovative future mobility design at Lineapelle 2022


Seoul, South Korea and MILANJan. 2722, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Hyundai Transys, the global auto parts manufacturer and subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, has announced that the company will debut its innovative future mobility seat concept at the Lineapelle International Leather Fair, from February 22-24.

In partnership with Lineapelle, the largest international leather trade show, Hyundai Transys will present its vision of future mobility with a color-material-finish (CMF) concept seat model using sustainable leather and other regenerative materials from waste tanning. Under the theme “Moving to Regenerative Mobility”, Hyundai Transys worked closely with Italian leather tanneries, Korean manufacturers and suppliers to visualize the future mobility seat concept.

Hyundai Transys will be exhibiting in the innovation section of Lineapelle, showcasing design work in recycled and sustainably treated leather. The seat was produced through the reuse of tanning waste from the automotive sector, where the discussion on the sustainable and ethical use of leather has recently intensified.

Prior to his debut in Milanothe company held a preview event at its headquarters on January 26joined by Steve YeoCEO of Hyundai Transys, and SE Federico FaillaAmbassador of Italy to the Republic of Korea. Fulvia BacchiCEO of Lineapelle and Managing Director of UNIC, also joined the online event from Italy to take a look at the future of mobility seating and discuss related sustainability efforts.

hyundai Transys minimizes its environmental impact by reducing waste, switching to reusable energy and developing environmentally friendly products. Its new CMF concept is an important step towards aligning its product offerings with Hyundai Motor Group’s clean mobility vision and its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2045.
