First look inside new Chesterfield menswear store as long-time clothing company moves

Rebel Menswear has now moved to a larger unit on the corner of High Street and Packer’s Row after overtaking its previous premises on Burlington Street where it had traded for the past two decades.

The new store is split over two floors – the ground floor showcasing collections such as Mastrum, Marshall Artist and EA7 and the first floor housing the suits, shirts and footwear department alongside a men’s lounge for weddings and groups.

Store owner Raj Dhir said: “We have recycled a lot of the material that has been used and the look of the store will be something completely different to anything in Chesterfield or nationally.

“Our aim is to create a shopping experience that is stimulating for the senses, in a relaxed environment where our customers can come and chat or for a two hour shopping experience. We believe in Chesterfield, and that’s why we spend approx. £500,000 for the store.

“Chesterfield, as a community and downtown, has always been supportive of us, so it’s only fitting that we reinvest in the downtown and the community. We believe Chesterfield Town’s future is bright and will only be brighter as more investment is made in the town centre.
