If you think there aren’t any other sneakers worth talking about this week besides the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1, you’re wrong.
Of course, the collaboration is pretty huge, and you’re bidding a commensurate amount of money to nab one of the limited-edition pairs going under the hammer at Sotheby’s. But there are other Nike silhouettes worthy of your attention (and are probably much less difficult to copy).
An example: the Dunk High “Light Chocolate”, as pleasant to look at as they are to wear on a daily basis. If we talk about luxury, we are also very excited about the new Dior B23 high top sneakers. Below, check out our favorite sneaker launches in Singapore this week.
Best New Cop Sneakers in January 2022:
Dior B23 “Blue Dior Oblique Canvas” high-top sneakers
Many people will fall in love with the Dior B23 sneakers all over again, as the French luxury brand has just launched them in a standout colorway. The shoes’ signature sheer panels are even more distinct now that they’re set against the Blue Dior Oblique canvas – a refreshing change from the grays and neutral hues of the high tops. They will also go perfectly with the rest of the Dior and Kenny Scharf men’s capsule collection also for chinese new year.
New Balance 550 “Varsity Orange”

Speaking of Chinese New Year, here is a pair of shoes you can consider wearing this festive season. New Balance has re-released their beloved 550 trainers in this super wearable colourway that features Orange accents along the tongue, lining and soles. Unsurprisingly, given the popularity of the 1989 silhouette, they’re already sold out despite launching today, but you can still grab a pair below. Otherwise, check out New Balance’s Year of the Tiger sneaker launches.
Dunk High “Light Chocolate”

When: January 27
Nike isn’t exactly known for its understated colorways (that’s New Balance’s domain, if you ask us), but when the sportswear giant chooses to ditch its bold color palette, it’s on point. height. And that’s the case with these new Dunk High sneakers. Earthy browns, neutral beiges, and smooth, buttery suede overlays all help create an understated pair of basketball sneakers that can be worn regularly.

When: January 29
For its first collaboration with ASICS, Amsterdam fashion brand Kassl Editions has reworked the GEL-1090 runners beyond recognition. The shoes’ signature features, such as the tiger claw marks and side stripes, are now mostly hidden, thanks to a protective oilcloth sheath whose paint appears to run down the midsoles. Very artistic. One caveat: Shoes should be “worn at your own risk” due to color transfer or fading that may occur. If you need a new piece of art for your home, you can choose between green or white color.
Air Jordan 1 High OG SE “Atmosphere”

When: January 29
Nike has made several iterations of its best-selling women’s Air Jordan 1 silhouette, but few have generated as much buzz as this pair dubbed “Bubblegum.” Naturally, it comes in pastel pink, nicely contrasted by navy details like the Swoosh. Unlike the previous patent leather pair in the same color, these shoes are made from grainy matte leather which makes them much more comfortable to wear.
