Everyone’s favorite last-minute Halloween store is getting its own horror movie.
The New Jersey-based company has been known to randomly show up in the abandoned K-Mart at your local mall around September. Selling all your Halloween necessities, from jumping skeletons that will scare your neighbor, to your last minute costume for that party you forgot.

All joking aside, Spirit Halloween has been the main go-to store for all Halloween. Originally from California, the company was purchased by Spencer’s Gifts, located in Egg Harbor Township, in 1999.

The horror film will be called “Spirit Halloween”. A group of school-age children will challenge each other to spend the night in the store. As you can probably guess, the store is haunted and the animatronics are getting possessed. Children must defeat this entity or find a way to escape.

The film will star Christopher Lloyd, Marla Gibbs, Dylan Frankel and many more. David Poag is the director and apparently the shooting of the movie is already finished.

I’m surprised it’s taken this long for a movie to be made about or involving a Spirit Halloween. The store has, on its own, carried on the Halloween tradition. We all accidentally stepped on one of the sensors and got half scared. We should be excited about this movie
