MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are asking for the public’s help in getting information on 2 men who robbed an auto parts store late this afternoon.

On June 26 at approximately 4:10 p.m., the Memphis Police Department (MPD) responded to a corporate robbery at O’Reilly Auto Parts, which is located in the 1000 block of Bellevue Boulevard.

When officers arrived, they were told that two men had entered the business, one armed with a handgun and the other standing in the entrance.

Surveillance footage showed the armed suspect putting one of the employees in a choke hold and demanding money from the register.

The man began withdrawing cash from the ledger while holding employees at gunpoint, police said.

Police also said the suspect also took a car battery from the display.

The two men fled the store on foot heading north on Bellevue Boulevard.

The first suspect is described as a medium to dark-skinned man of lean build, wearing a black mask covering his entire head, black shirt, black pants, black Nike shoes, and armed with a handgun.

A second suspect is a man of average build, wearing a mask covering the lower part of his face, a gray cap, a black shirt, gray pants, black shoes and purple latex gloves.

This is still an ongoing investigation.
